I’m opening this thread to gather any news/speculation about a possible reopening of the official Thai Pangya server. I have decided to do so after reading for the N-th time, on the Facebook Pangya Siam page, a speculation from an user about a possible reopening at the end of this year or next year. The page’s admins are from time to time still posting humorous images on Facebook, no idea if this is just for fun or to keep interest on the game while waiting for the server to be reopened.
If any of you have any more consistent news, please post it here.
Didn’t know about that, but god I hope it’s true! There are so many private PangYa servers right now. All we need is an official server, maybe with english translation (but, sure, I’m okay with thai only as well) to bring them all together
Recently, a publisher (Gravity) is doing this with Gunbound and Ragnarok. If I’m not mistaken, they bought the publishing rights (or the IP, I don’t know) of these games and they are opening some sort of official “global servers”. Is this a trend right now?
However, I think I’ve read somewhere a few weeks ago (maybe here in this forum) that Ntreev went out of business last year, so I’m losing all my hopes with PangYa M already. Yet, would it be actually possible for the return of official PangYa TH? I don’t know how IP works in this case (with Ntreev gone), but I’m assuming NC owns it and should be willing to sell or licensing it right for this to be possible, right?
Indeed, an official global server would be most welcomed. Didn’t know about the Ragnarok and Gunbound’s reopening, that’s great to hear. NCsoft, after Ntreev’s demise, are now the Pangya IP holders, they should really make use of it. One would hope that they’d handle it to Twohands, the company made by ex-Ntreev employees and which is behind Golf Super Crew. That game is how I think a modern Pangya should look like!
