New course and functionalities

Hello to all users and developers of Pangya Island.
Today I’m going to show you a little bit of our development.
Let’s start by showing you a new course. The most incredible thing about our new map is that we won’t be replacing or removing the old courses; it’s something completely new and unique.

The video is a bit long, but in the end it’s worth watching and rewatching every detail. In the description there’s a link to our Discord server where you can give suggestions for our development; who knows, you might even provide a brilliant idea that we can implement in the game…
Finally, a short video demonstration of our new internet engine. With this magnificent change, we will have more security and significant improvements in event page loading. We could create templates with the newest features currently available.

Join our Discord group and stay up-to-date on this magnificent new development. We look forward to seeing you there and will soon post more about the development. See you later!

Hi Vitinho,

I have been following your development posts on Discord with great interest. It’s incredible that you have managed to find a way to add a new course, new objects and also to use a newer HTML rendering engine in the game, without access to the game’s source code!
I have quite some questions right now:

  • how many people are working on this projects beside you, and how long have you been working on it?
  • have the objects, motion paths and music been developed from scratch or have they been imported from other games?
  • is the course complete with all the 18 holes, or they still have to be developed?
  • when will the course be released? I see that the Discord invite links to a channel called Pangya World, is this server already open? Will this course be exclusive for this server, or will it be available for other servers too?

Thanks and again kudos for this great achievement!

Hi Varthall ,how are you?
Currently only eantonio and I are working on the project. It’s kind of hard to tell you how long we’ve been working on this project because eantonio has been looking into the gbin issue for a while, and I was already helping him, but not as much as now because I was working on a Season 2 emulator, as I posted a few times on Discord. But I think he’s been nudging me to dedicate myself to this project for about a year, and only a month or two ago did I decide to take a break from Season 2 and focus on this new project, which is going very well.

This first course is being used more as a test for us, since I don’t have much experience in 3D modeling, much less in animations (it must be a bit difficult). In terms of animated objects, as shown in the video, we took them from Grand Zodiac. The rest were acquired from a package that we thought matched the style of the game. The terrain is being developed and designed 100% manually. I have a lot of experience creating audio tracks, but I couldn’t spend much time on them because I was left with the hooki parts to start modeling the map later. So I found a website that greatly facilitated the creation of the BGM, but we will probably create 100% “by hand” in the next course.

The holes are still under development. The ones shown in the video are the ones that are already finished. Antonio made hole 1 and is currently working on hole 3, and I made holes 2 and 6. I will start hole 10 soon and then move on to 16.
It’s still too early for a release date because we have a lot to discuss and align. We are eager to launch as soon as possible, but we still have some things to resolve and create new systems taking advantage of the new web features that have been implemented. However, we will probably try to give a more precise date in the second half of this year, and yes, the features as well as the map will be exclusive to the Pangya World server.
Any further questions, I would be happy to answer.
