Hints in modify pangya client/server

.Hi there completly newbie down here trying to do something xD, see i’ve recently put up a server using superss for me and my friends to gather and remember the old days of pangya.

As some of you know the superss server is based on the jp version of the game thus we are using the jp client, currently its obviously all in japanese, good news is i found some files to be exact the files from a an already dead private server that had a projectg984.pak modified to include several resources that change the client graphics to english text.

i know its basically just an eye candy at this point for me and my buddies but it will be nice to have them.

the problem, the game launches, allows me to login and everything to my private server but when i can see the graphics changed with the icons now showing text in english and everything is you know readable at this point, but as soon as click the store or my room (or just wait a few seconds doing nothing) ive got a message saying “ProjectG984.pak file has been corrupted, please try again later” and the app closes.

So did some research but it did not take me too far, see i was only able to find a utility called winpak that allows me to open and browse the pak files, for what i can see the original pak file only has a pangya_jp.iff file while the modded file has several folders with music, graphics, etc in the data folder (btw yes i tried to put the pangya_jp.iff from the original into the modded one…no luck obviously) so my question is basically that.

How to modify those pak files the right way or maybe to know where or how the app makes that validation?

Cause something tells me its probably a server thing as i was able to connect the client of the original dead private game…and for the most part worked…as long as i replace some of the modded pak files with the original ones there are like 3 or 4 only …but at that point i have the client back to full japanese so the point gets lost again, anyway i know this is a lot but any help will be greatly appreciated even if it just point me into the right documentation to do this, as there isnt much for what i can tell in this recent days
